Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco - Cusipata - Palccoyo - Cusco
Our adventure to Palcoyo Mountain begins with pick-up from your hotel or Airbnb in the city of Cusco. Pick-up time starts from 4:00 am to 5:00 am. The exact time will depend on the location of your accommodation. Please contact us via WhatsApp.
During the trip you will enjoy the sight of local animals and captivating landscapes, after approximately 1 hour and a half of travel we will make a stop in the community of Cusipata, in a cozy restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast and recharge your batteries for the day.
We will continue our trip to Combapata (approximately 30 min. by transport). On the way we will take the route to the Palccoyo Mountain Range, a 2-hour trip that will include a stop at the historic colonial bridge of Checacupe, a perfect place to admire and capture unique moments.
Upon arriving at the town of Palcoyo, we will begin a moderate hike of approximately 1 hour, where we will be at more than 4,600 m.a.s.l. (15,091 feet), which will take us through stunning landscapes towards the colorful Palccoyo Mountains. During the hike you will have the opportunity to contemplate different mountain ranges and if you wish, you can explore the enigmatic stone forest, where you will ascend on your own.
After our visit to the Palcoyo Mountain Range, we will return by the same route to our transport to begin the return trip, stopping again at the restaurant to enjoy an exquisite Andean lunch.
After lunch, we return to Cusco, ending the tour in the Regosijos square. We will leave you in the square for dinner and head to your hotel or Airbnb to rest.
