Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa - Humantay Lake - Cusco

🚐 Hotel or Airbnb pick up in Cusco (4:10 – 5:10)
We will pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco between 4:10 and 5:10 a.m. If you are staying near the city center we will coordinate a day before your trip.
Around 5:10 a.m., we start our trip north of Cusco to the town of Mollepata, located in the province of Anta. The trip lasts approximately two and a half hours and you will be able to observe imposing mountains covered with Andean vegetation, with their traditional crops and the presence of domestic animals. Mollepata pays an entrance fee of 20 soles for foreigners and 10 soles for Peruvians (not included).
☕🍞🍌 Nutritious and energetic breakfast for the Peruvian Andes.
You will have a nutritious breakfast with light options to avoid altitude sickness, it is also highly recommended to drink coca tea, it will give you the energy of an Inca.
🚐 We will continue by transport to Soraypampa.
After breakfast, we’ll continue for about 1 hour to Soraypampa (3,900 m), the starting point of our hike to Humantay Lake.
🥾🚶🏼🚶🏼‍♀️ Hike to Humantay Lake
We will hike for 2 hours uphill (3 km). The trail offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and dramatic Andean scenery. Once at Humantay lake.
🏞️📸 Time at the Humantay Lake.
you will have approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on weather conditions. Sometimes it is cloudy, foggy or a bit rainy and very cold, in which case you can stay about 30 minutes. If the weather is sunny and clear you can stay about 1 hour, enough time to see the Humantay Lake.
Descent to Soraypampa to the transport
After enjoying the lake and taking souvenir photos and videos, we will begin the descent, which lasts approximately 1.5 hours to the transport station
🍽️ Buffet lunch with several options in Mollepata
We will return to Mollepata for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant where you will have several choices between vegetables, pastas, proteins and carbohydrates and you can make your own combinations according to your taste.
🚐 Return to Cusco.
We begin our return trip to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 p.m., ending an unforgettable day of exploration in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. We finish in the square of Regosijos.
